Penetrating the mime lair, the Mad Man’s years of both hatred and unwitting respect for the craft of mime, culminate in an explosive moment of mayhem. With focus and clarity, the Mad Man uses the one method the mimes are powerless against, the dark side of mime. The method to the Man’s madness is revealed through a shocking faded memory from his childhood, of a disturbing encounter with a mime. This memory was the catalyst for the creation of a monster with a human soul. The “Mime Massacre” leaves us with a highly debated question, just how powerful is the untapped human brain?... Or was it all just bullshit? ![]() ![]()
As a filmmaker with a background in stunts, special effects and stand up comedy, I wanted to create a film that entertained and incorporated all theses skills. Really, I just wanted to kill some mimes. I approached David Barkes, a special FX coordinator that I was working with, about the idea and he loved it. And lucky for me, aside from being talented, he’s one sick and twisted S.O.B. He thought the gags were simple enough and could easily be done on a budget. Thank God, because I’m cheap! Many talented and warped individuals in the film community eagerly
jumped on board to kill mimes. That and we told them there would be punch
and pie. Sadly there was not. Although it doesn’t show, some of the mimes
are actually trained in the art of mime. The old adage is, “you get what
you pay for!” And I did. I paid them nothing. Thankfully everyone involved
in the “Mime Massacre” found it to be a fun and hilarious project. Jah Bless! ![]() ![]()
Colin Decker – writer, director, producer, editor Colin left his mother’s uterus three decades ago to pursue a career in film. He never looked back. A varied career in stunts, special effects and stand-up comedy has led Colin to the goal of directing the world’s best FX and stunt laden comedic short film – EVER! Completely devoid of ego, yet inclined to tell anyone about his second place showing at the 2005 Vancouver’s Funniest Comic With A Day Job. Colin has shot more than a dozen short films and commercials. Oh, and did he mention the award he won at the Great Canadian Commercial Contest in 2005? Along with being a certified Final Cut Pro editor, Colin has worked on over 50 major productions in the Vancouver and Calgary film communities as a performer and in the stunt and special effects departments. More importantly, by most accounts he looks fabulous in neon green spandex.

This intimate knowledge of the functions of each crew member, combined with a background in marketing and promotion, has proven to be invaluable assets in assisting with her Producer duties. In 2005 Jennifer expanded on her knowledge with support through BC Film’s Producer Internship Program. During her internship she was involved in learning every aspect of producing on numerous projects, with budgets from $1 Million - $12 Million, for film and television. Jennifer’s body of work includes producing a feature length documentary, several short films, commercials, public service announcements, and music videos. With her creative partners at Evil Genius Creative, Jennifer was involved as a co-producer, director and camera operator on several CBC” Zed” segments. His teen years saw him arrested by the police and then ejected from a rock concert for operating a butane flame thrower attached to his finger. Some of David’s previous experiences include Jet Pilot, Search and Rescue Helicopter Pilot, Radar Air Traffic Controller, weekend Bad Boy Biker and accomplished Free Fall Skydiver. He firmly believes that “Life is not a Dress Rehearsal”. A dedicated family man, David’s family is actively involved in many of his projects as guinea pigs and cheap child labor.
